Part 1 · Interview. The examiner asks you and your partner personal questions in turn, there's no interaction with each other here, just answer directly and give a full answer rather than one word. Remember: the examiner opens with introductions and asks where you live before any of these.

Part 2 · Individual long turn. You speak alone for about 1 minute, comparing two photos and responding to the question printed above them. Your partner then gives a brief 30-second answer to a follow-up question. Roles swap.
Part 3 · Collaborative task. You and your partner discuss the options together, out loud, for about two minutes, then work towards a joint decision in the last minute. This is done with your partner, not with the examiner.
Part 4 · Discussion. The examiner now joins the conversation, asking both of you broader questions related to your Part 3 topic, for about four minutes.
