Part 1 · Interview. The examiner asks you and your partner simple personal questions in turn, about your name, home, work or studies, and everyday life. There's no interaction with each other here, just answer directly and give a full answer with a short reason, not just one word.

Part 2 · Individual long turn. You're given a colour photograph and speak alone for about a minute, describing it and answering the question above it. Your partner just listens. Roles then swap with a different photo on the same theme.
Part 3 · Collaborative task. You and your partner are shown a situation with five ideas to discuss. Talk about them together, make suggestions, respond to each other, and try to agree, for about two to three minutes.
Part 4 · General conversation. The examiner now asks you both about your own opinions, experiences and habits related to the Part 3 topic, for about three to four minutes.
